Bramble Calls for Poems

Bramble, the literary magazine of the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets, has issued a call for poems for its fall issue. The Deadline for submitting poems is September 15th. Guidelines are located here.

C. Kubasta is the editor, together with a team of students from Marian University, for the fall issue and seeks poems that "celebrate the challenging and transgressive spirit of poetry." She and the team will be open to "poems about any topic, in any style, and any form," but in particular "how we as a country are engaged in a much-needed reckoning with our past, our (in many ways) unprecedented present, and whatever the future brings."

Ms. Kubasta teaches at Marian University and has published two novels, poetry collections and chapbooks, and reviews. Her Abjectivation: Stories and Truths (Apprentice House) is due out in October. A review, "The Negative Space of the Page," analyzes Emily Bowles's chapbook, "His Journal, My Stella" (Finishing Line Press, 2018). Ms. Bowles is The Mill's newest Board member.
