Nurture Your Writing: Tips to Feed Your Creativity

Updated: Sep 1, 2020

The horizon is an illusion, Ms. Tietjens notes above. It simply looks, if your view isn't obstructed, as flat as a tabletop, a cosmic tabletop, in her words. Can we get beyond the horizon? Mr. O'Neill thought it difficult, impossible even. We seem to be forever chasing it.

Is there a way through? Imagination, possibly, but does your imagination---your creativity, your writing---ever seem stuck? Does that illusive horizon seem like a bar rather than a gateway, or have you grown tired of chasing it? Are you in need of a little pick-me-up, a spur to the mind's ribs, to keep that urge to write alive and well and living within you? If so, you're not alone.

Enter The Mill's virtual class: "Nurture Your Writing: 10 Tips for the Care and Feeding of Your Creativity." It's a one-session, virtual workshop, for only $10, taught by poet and writer Laura Winkelspecht. Limited enrollment. Hurry, spaces fill fast. (Class now closed to further enrollments.)

More details at the link above and at millwriters.org.

(Don't forget about The Mill's writing contests in poetry and short fiction. Deadline, Sept. 13, is approaching fast.)

(Edit on 8/24/20: added Only two spaces left!)
