Poetry Unlocked Features Leota Ester
Poetry Unlocked is holding poetry readings again, but only virtually. Normally, the organization holds its monthly poetry readings at the Draw in Appleton but, because of Covid-19, it's going virtual.
Featured for this Zoom event is Leota Ester, the author of Crossing, a Caregiver's Journey, a story in poetry form. Ms. Ester will read poetry she wrote during the time she noticed changes that afflicted her husband, from the confirmation of a diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease, to his residence in a long-term care facility, to his death in 2006.
The reading will take place via Zoom on Monday, July 13, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., CDT. Email Poetry Unlocked at PoetryUnlockedAppleton@gmail.com to sign up in advance. Click the Zoom link to participate: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86971055570. You may also attend by calling, at the time of event, 1-312-626-6799 and entering Meeting ID: 869 7105 5570#.
Sorry, limited time for open mic has already been filled.
This virtual event is also brought to you, in part, by the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets.
