Poetry Unlocked's Virtual Reading
Mark your calendars. Poetry Unlocked is hosting its monthly poetry reading (virtual) on Monday, Nov. 9th, from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Sylvia Cavanaugh and Ed Werstein are the evening's featured poets. Zoom link to join meeting:
Ms. Cavanaugh has been a Pushcart Prize nominee. Various periodicals and anthologies, among them Gyroscope Review, Switched-On Gutenberg, and Stoneboat Literary Journal, have published her poems. She is also a contributing editor of Verse-Virtual and English language editor for Poetry Hall: A Chinese and English Bilingual Journal. Ms. Cavanaugh has published three chapbooks: Icarus, Anthropology of Addiction (Water's Edge Press), Angular Embrace (Kelsay Press), and Staring Through My Eyes (Finishing Line Press). She also serves on the board of the Council for Wisconsin Writers.
Mr. Werstein's poetry has appeared in various journals and anthologies, among them Daily Poem, Shepherd Express, and New Verse News. He, too, has been a Pushcart Prize nominee and was awarded the Council for Wisconsin Writers Lorine Niedecker award in 2018. His books include Benediction & Baseball, A Tar Pit to Dye In, the Hartford Avenue Poets' Maquerades & Misdemeanors, and Who Are We Then? Mr. Werstein is also the WFOP's representative on the Wisconsin Poet Laureate Commission.
