WWA Jade Ring Contest
The Wisconsin Writers Association is presently conducting its annual Jade Ring Writing Contests in short fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. Submissions to the contests began on March 1st and close on June 5th.
R.R. Campbell, author, writing coach, founder of the Writescast Network, and host of the podcast Just Me, will judge the fiction contest. His novels include Imminent Dawn, Mourning Dove, and Accounting for It All.
B.J. Hollars will judge the nonfiction contest. He is the author of several books of nonfiction, including his latest, Midwestern Strange: Hunting Monsters, Martians, and the Weird in Flyover Country. Mr. Hollars is the founder and executive director of the Chippewa Valley Writers Guild and an associate professor of English at the University of Wisconsin--Eau Claire.
The poetry judge is Dasha Kelly Hamilton. She is the founder of Milwaukee's Still Waters Collective and the author of three collections of poetry, four spoken-word albums, and two novels---All Fall Down and Almost Crimson---and two books that include poetry and prose: Hershey Eats Peanuts: Poems, Prose, and Ponderings and Call It Forth: Poems, Stories, and Columns.
